We are proud to offer a dynamic, structured, and engaging learning environment that builds on foundational skills and prepares children for their transition into Kindergarten. This program is specifically designed for children ages 3.6 to 5 years.

Our Junior Kindergarten curriculum is thoughtfully crafted to support kindergarten readiness, while continuing to emphasize the importance of hands-on, play-based learning. We nurture the whole child—academically, socially, and emotionally—through developmentally appropriate programming focused on:

We offer two convenient session times to accommodate different schedules:
Morning Session:
8:30 AM - 11:30 AM
Afternoon Session:
12:30 PM - 3:30 PM

Program
Children need to be at the school no later than:
15 minutes past the start time of the program,
8:45AM / 12:45 PM Children arriving later than that will not be admitted into the program for the day, as this is when our programming begins with its first learning block. Once programming begins, we need to stay focused as we only have a short period of time together every day.

Our Junior Kindergarten program offers an enriching and supportive environment where children can thrive, explore their interests, and build the confidence and skills needed for their next big step—Kindergarten!These programs are offered at all Building Blocks locations in dedicated classrooms specific just to this program.
In our Southlands location, we are pleased to offer both Preschool and JuniorKindergarten in the same classroom.
